Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Support Worker to work within our Falkirk District Nursing team. You will work as part of a Multidisciplinary Team and carry out routine care for patients under the supervision of District Nurse/Registered Nurse. You should have excellent communication skills, including effective written skills, and a good working knowledge of IT systems.

The role includes various clinical skills such as venipuncture, medication administration, catheter care, and other clinical investigations, following relevant training if needed. You will also be involved in caring for palliative and end-of-life patients in their own homes.

You will provide support to other members of the multidisciplinary team, including staff nurses and student nurses.

You will carry out duties assigned to meet patient needs, ensuring appropriate care.

You should have the ability to work independently, refer appropriately to registered professionals, and be comfortable with lone working. You must also be able to travel throughout the area to provide patient care.
