Job Opportunity: Part-Time Clinical Support Worker

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a part-time Clinical Support Worker within the Oral & Maxillofacial team at University Hospital Monklands. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will perform care duties for patients, supporting registered nurses and Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs). You will often work independently but can consult the wider theatre team when needed.

Your responsibilities include direct and indirect patient care in theatre environments, performing physical, technical, and emotional aspects of care efficiently and accurately in a busy setting.

Candidate Requirements
  • SVQ III in healthcare or peri-operative care, or equivalent experience. Trainees without prior clinical experience will undergo an induction and training program, with full competency expected within 12 months.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to perform patient care tasks effectively in a busy environment.
  • Capability to work independently.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Valid UK/EU/EEA driving license.

Please note: A full UK/EU/EEA driving license is required for roles requiring driving.

Contract Details

Fixed-term or secondment for 12 months. Part-time, up to 30 hours per week, salary pro-rata. Applicants must have written approval from their line manager for secondment roles.

Location and Working Pattern

This position is based in the Oral & Maxillofacial department at University Hospital Monklands. Similar vacancies may be considered in other locations.
