Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Support Worker to join Ward 26 on a 29-bed unit caring for acutely unwell patients. Enthusiastic, hard-working candidates with an interest in diabetes and endocrinology are encouraged to apply.

We will support you with training in diabetes, endocrinology and general medicine, and you will assist with personal care, record-keeping in Cerner, observation, and light clinical duties on the ward.

Responsibilities

• Provide and support patients with personal care activities e.g. washing, bathing, toileting, feeding.
• Recording patient information within the Electronic Patient Record (Cerner).
• Observe patients and report any changes to a registered professional for review.
• Undertake a range of basic housekeeping and administrative duties within the clinical environment.
