Job summary

Folkestone Hythe and Rural PCN seeks a Pharmacy Technician for a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover within our Clinical Pharmacy Team, supporting patients across seven GP practices.

You will work with Pharmacists and Care Coordinators to optimise medicines, provide guidance to patients and carers, and travel to care homes as needed. The successful candidate must be GPhC registered and join a forward-thinking Primary Care Network with ongoing staff development.

Qualifications

• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is required.
• Experience in medicines management and medicines optimisation is desirable.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support patients to achieve the best possible outcomes from their medicines.
• Improve the safe, effective and cost-efficient use of medicines.
• Provide advice and support to patients, carers and healthcare professionals.
• Work under the direction of senior pharmacy staff while managing own workload.
• Travel across PCN practices, home and care home visits when required.
• Assist with MHRA alerts and vaccination programmes for care homes if qualified.
