Job description
Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced children’s nurse with substantial experience of diabetes in children and young people, practicing at band 6 level or above. This role is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Diabetes, offering an opportunity to pursue a CNS role in this specialty.

About the Team

The Paediatric Diabetes team is a multidisciplinary service comprising consultant staffing, Diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialist support, Diabetes Dietitian support, Registered Nursing Associate, admin support, and input from the Child Psychiatry Team (CAPPLT). The service operates Monday to Friday and provides outpatient, psychotherapy, psychology, and ambulating services to all patients with diabetes, as well as support to local GP practices and schools. The service also works in tandem with other Diabetes teams in the North Central London area, providing out‑of‑hours telephone “on‑call” support on a rostered basis.

Qualifications
  • Substantial experience of diabetes in children and young people.
  • Practicing at band 6 level or above.
  • Visible, patient‑ and staff‑focused and able to work within a talent‑driven team.
