Job summary

Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist to lead in primary schools. You will supervise other team members and drive service developments for children in the mainstream school setting.

The role requires driving and access to a car, HCPC registration, and a commitment to CPD within a proactive team. This fixed-term post runs for 12 months at 18.75 hours per week, based at Victoria Central Hospital, Wallasey.

Qualifications

• Must hold SLT degree qualification and be HCPC registered.
• Evidence of postgraduate study and specialist short courses.
• Experience in supervising/mentoring junior staff and students.
• Experience in leading service developments and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead on service developments within Wirral primary schools.
• Supervise other members of the Speech and Language Therapy team.
• Provide second opinions for complex speech, language and communication needs.
