Job summary

Wirral Community Health & Care NHS Foundation Trust in Wallasey is seeking a Band 7 Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist to support children within mainstream schools. The post leads on service development across Wirral primary schools and supervises team members working in schools.

The role requires a SLT degree, HCPC registration, and experience with children in primary settings. Driving and car access are essential. Pro rata salary applies for part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates good auditory discrimination and ability to transcribe speech.
• Competent computer skills and ability to utilise Information Technology.
• Able to demonstrate good leadership and the abilities to motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Lead on service developments and supervise team members in schools.
• Provide second opinions for children with complex speech, language and communication needs.
• Lead quality improvement projects within the service.
