Job summary

Avery Park Care Home in Kettering seeks a Clinical Lead to support the Home Manager in delivering safe, compassionate care. You’ll oversee wellbeing, liaise with families and professionals, and guide staff rotas and performance to maintain high standards of care.

The role requires an active NMC PIN, NVQ Level 3 in care, and at least two years in a similar setting. DBS clearance is funded by Avery Healthcare Group, with a strong focus on staff development and resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Must hold current NMC registration.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care for care homes.
• At least two years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written; IT skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents' wellbeing and flags changes affecting care plans.
• Act as main contact with residents, relatives, and health/social care professionals.
• Prepare staff duty rota to ensure appropriate staffing and conduct staff appraisals.
• Advise on supplies and ordering to maintain quality and timely replacements.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Clinical Lead will be to support the Home Manager across all aspects of Home Management, providing a safe, caring, stimulating and homely environment for residents and their visitors.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Being responsible for monitoring the state of wellbeing of each resident whilst being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans.
• Acting as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives, and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing.
• Preparing the staff duty rota to always ensure appropriate staffing levels whilst also being responsible for appraising staff.
• Advising on the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring the timely and appropriate ordering of replacement goods.

• Hold a current NMC registration.
• Have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have at least two years’ experience working in a similar care environment.

• Have a positive attitude to developing staff and enhancing care of the residents.
