NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a motivated individual to join the Biomedical Science team. The role involves preparing clinical specimens for analysis, registering patient information on the Laboratory Information System, and ensuring accurate sample identification and documentation.

You will work under supervision, centrifuging and processing samples, and responding to enquiries by page, phone or in person. Training and a strong foundation in Biomedical Science are essential.

Competenze

• Standard Grade English and a Science Subject are essential.
• Good understanding of Biomedical Science.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology preferred; training provided.

Mansioni

• Prepare samples for analysis and register the request with accuracy.
• Centrifuge and separate samples into secondary tubes for testing.
• Respond to questions by page, telephone or in person, directing inquiries as needed.
• Work under supervision of a State Registered Biomedical Scientist or appropriate supervisor.
