Job summary

Mountain Healthcare Limited is recruiting a GMC-registered Doctor to support Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARC) for paediatric and adult services. The role involves forensic examinations, safeguarding assessments, and close collaboration with Police and Social Services.

Travel for training is required; a mentor will guide development. Essential candidates will have at least 3 years post Foundation experience, strong safeguarding knowledge, and be eligible for UK residency with full medical

Qualifications

GMC-registered Doctor.
A minimum of 3 years + relevant post Foundation experience.
Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and adults.
Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality.
Experience of working in Sexual health, Paediatrics, GP or Obs/Gynae.
A UK driving licence is required for this role and access to a vehicle.
Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting will be required, residency in the UK for 3 years.
Medical Indemnity by start date is also a requirement.

Responsibilities

Forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits.
Develop Forensic strategies according to FFLM guidelines.
Actively working in partnership with external MDTs and Police.
Point of contact for Police and Social Services to discuss referral pathways.
Undertaking holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding.
Supporting the continued quality improvement of the service.
Working under the Forensic Science Regulator requirements.
Obtaining consent for Health and Forensic procedures.
