NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff in various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
Adult dermatology services in Greater Glasgow and Clyde are delivered by the Alan Lyell Centre for Dermatology, operating on a hub and spoke model. The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital hosts some specialized and tertiary services, serving approximately 1.5 million people in the West of Scotland.
Services are provided across eight hospital sites, including Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Inverclyde Royal Hospital, and others, offering outpatient dermatology services. The team comprises Consultants, Specialty Doctors, GP Clinical Assistants, and dermatology nurses. The QEUH serves as the hub for subspecialty clinics and the tertiary inpatient unit.
Applicants with previous dermatology experience are welcome, with no limit on months of prior training. Candidates should possess MRCP (UK) or equivalent, or have completed GP training. Duties involve work at the Alan Lyell Dermatology Centre. National terms and conditions apply.
