Job summary

University Hospitals Of Derby And Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Dietetic Assistant Practitioner to join its forward-thinking dietetic team, providing part of the Dietetic Service with a rotation across acute nutrition support, gastroenterology and upper/lower GI surgery.

You will receive regular supervision and CPD opportunities to develop clinical skills, support patient pathways, and participate in projects within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a dietetic department as a dietetic assistant or assistant practitioner.
• Able to prioritise workload and manage a delegated caseload under supervision.
• Knowledge of malnutrition, oral nutritional supplements and MUST screening.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a patient caseload under the supervision of a Registered dietitian.
• Liaise with MDT members to coordinate nutritional care on the caseload.
• Provide administrative support to manage the dietetic caseload and patient pathways.
