Job summary

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic HCPC registered Dietitian to join a proactive team. You will provide cover to general clinics, weight management, gestational diabetes groups and gastroenterology services, with some ward-based work across three hospital sites.

We support CPD, shadowing experienced dietitians and student training, in a flexible working environment designed to benefit patients and staff alike.

Qualifications

  • HCPC registration is essential to practice as a dietitian.
  • Strong clinical assessment and care planning abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork within multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cover to general clinics, weight management and gestational diabetes groups.
  • Work across wards including Acute Medical Unit and gastroenterology.
  • Support student training and participate in CPD and shadowing.
  • Contribute to a flexible, patient-centred dietetics service.

Job description

The post will provide cover to general clinics, weight management clinics, gestational diabetes groups and gastroenterology clinics. It will also include some work on the wards including Acute Medical Unit, gastroenterology, respiratory, endocrine, haematology, surgery and care of the elderly.

Some cross site working may be required across the three hospital sites covered by the Trust, transport is available.

We are a fully integrated team that includes, dietitians, nutrition nurses and assistants. Professional development is encouraged and supported through appraisal and regular supervision. You will be allocated time for CPD and shadowing experienced specialist dietitians.

All dietitians are actively involved in student training and take students from University of Nottingham and Sheffield Hallam University.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and proactive HCPC registered Dietitian, with excellent clinical, communication and team working skills. This could be a great opportunity to start your dietetic career or to develop your current skills by working within a team of specialist dietitians in an outpatient and acute setting.
