Job summary

Serencroft Care Homes in Romford is seeking a highly capable NMC Registered Nurse to join the management team as Deputy Manager. You will work with the Home Manager to ensure outstanding resident care, clinical governance, and compliant operations within a CQC-regulated, B Corp-certified multi-site provider.

You will lead nursing and care teams, oversee care planning, audits, and staff development while maintaining a person-centred culture across the home.

Qualifications

• Experienced in a Senior Nurse, Clinical Lead, Unit Manager or Deputy Manager role.
• Knowledgeable about CQC regulations and current best practice within adult social care.
• Confident leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Committed to delivering exceptional care and achieving positive outcomes for residents.

• Support the Home Manager in the operational management of the home.
• Provide strong clinical and professional leadership to nursing and care teams.
• Promote a positive culture focused on dignity, respect and person-centred care.

• Lead and support audits, quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with staff recruitment, supervision, training and performance management.

• Manage staffing levels and contribute to effective rota planning.
• Respond appropriately to incidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns.

Serencroft Care Homes is an independent care provider operating five residential and nursing homes across England, including Gable Court in Romford. We are CQC-regulated and B Corp certified, and we work in partnership with NHS commissioners and local universities to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.We are seeking an experienced and motivated NMC Registered Nurse to join our management team as Deputy Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate clinical leader who is passionate about quality care, team development and achieving excellent outcomes for residents.

Role Overview:

As a Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of the care home, ensuring that residents receive the highest standard of care. You will lead and support the team, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and promoting a positive, person-centred culture.
