Job summary

Hamberley Care Homes is seeking a Deputy Manager for Montague House in Brampton, Huntingdon. You will lead a passionate team delivering residential, dementia and nursing care, ensuring high standards and compassionate service.

As a Registered Nurse with an NMC PIN, you will mentor staff, manage clinical practice, participate in on-call duties and support the Home Manager with regulatory stakeholders. Join a well‑regarded provider focused on quality and development.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with an NMC PIN and post-registration experience.
• Senior Nurse or staff nurse experience in a care home is desirable.
• Strong people management and mentoring ability.
• Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision for clinical and care staff.
• Lead on-call duties as required by the Home Manager.
• Develop and deliver training modules and workshops to improve care delivery.
• Provide feedback to the Home Manager on staff development needs.
• Support clinical aspects, assess potential residents and liaise with commissioners.
• Lead team and clinical review meetings and participate in QA processes.
• Investigate incidents and respond to complaints or concerns.

Joining us at Montague House, a luxurious care home that provides residential, dementia and nursing care for older people, you'll be part of a passionate team that values the health and well‑being of our residents.

What you’ll be doing

• Uphold the values of Hamberley Care Homes and lead the care teams.
• Provide leadership, support and supervision for clinical and care staff as advised by the Home Manager.
• Carry out on‑call duties according to the needs of the home.
• Research, devise and deliver written and verbal training modules and workshops to improve delivery of care.
• Provide feedback to the Home Manager on staff improvement areas.
• Support the Home Manager with clinical aspects of the home, including assessments of potential residents and liaising with commissioners and stakeholders.
• Lead team and clinical review meetings.
• Work with the Home Manager and QA teams to ensure effective and safe clinical practice.
• Carry out investigations and respond to complaints or concerns.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN and demonstrable post‑registration experience.
• Managing or mentoring experience.
• Previous experience working as a Senior Nurse, staff nurse or registered nurse in a care home environment is desirable.
• People management experience.
• Committed and organised approach.
• Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
