Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced medical audio typist to support busy teams within the Surgical, Anaesthetics, Critical Care and Theatres division. You will assist Medical Secretaries to deliver high-quality patient services and develop knowledge of hospital systems.

The role requires good communication, organisation and initiative, with training provided on hospital systems and continued professional development in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is essential.
• Audio typing skills are required and must be reliable.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and file patient case notes as required.
• Type letters and documents using Word and audio typing for medical secretaries.
• Provide audio typing support to medical secretaries to meet deadlines.
• Assist with ordering stationery and distributing materials as needed.
• Work with senior staff to ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain KPI standards.
