Job summary

Thorn Baker Construction's client, a South West property and development organisation, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multiple construction projects from inception to handover. This is a client-side role, working across internal teams and external consultants to deliver on time and within budget.

The successful candidate will have proven delivery experience in construction, knowledge of procurement and contracts, and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager in construction.
• Experience delivering projects from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of contracts, procurement, and project controls.
• Experience managing external consultants and contractors.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Managing projects from initial concept to handover.
• Acting as the client representative throughout the lifecycle.
• Appointing and managing consultants, contractors and professionals.
• Managing budgets, programmes, procurement and risk.
• Overseeing planning, design development and construction delivery.
• Monitoring contractor performance and progress.
• Leading project meetings and coordinating stakeholders.
• Managing variations, commercial issues and project risks.
• Ensuring compliance with legislation and health & safety.
• Providing progress and financial reports to senior management.
• Supporting the development and delivery of the wider property and construction programme.
