Job summary

Joshua Robert Recruitment Limited is seeking a commercially minded Building Surveyor or Project Manager to join our client’s in-house property team. The role covers residential development, refurbishment and extension projects across the UK, Jersey, the Channel Islands and the South of France, with Midlands base and regular travel.

You will own projects from feasibility through to handover, coordinating architects, engineers and contractors, ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, health

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing residential developments, refurbishments or extensions from inception through to completion.
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing, building technology and quality standards.
• Ability to monitor construction works, contractor performance and build quality on site.
• Proficiency in CAD software to review and amend drawings and produce simple layouts or construction details.
• Ability to read, interpret and interrogate architectural, structural and construction drawings, specifications and consultant reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage residential development, refurbishment and extension projects from feasibility to handover.
• Prepare and maintain project programmes, budgets, scopes of work and delivery plans.
• Monitor site works, contractor performance, workmanship and quality against drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors and statutory authorities for internal stakeholders.
• Lead and contribute to design team, progress and site meetings.
