THE ROLE

Using discretion and judgment, the Client Service Manager directs and performs new account onboarding and client service functions for a dedicated group of Institutional and Wholesale/Platforms clients, developing relationships and providing value-added services. Works with the Relationship Manager and other MFS teams to service clients and ensure effective communication. Acts as the primary liaison for administrative and operational matters, ensuring client needs are met in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner. Communicates daily with internal and external clients in an additional language relevant to the role's location. Serves as a key member of the Relationship Team for sophisticated Institutional, Wholesale clients, including Defined Benefit and Contribution Plans, Endowments/Foundations, Sovereign Wealth, Insurance, and Sub-Advisory plans, investing across various asset classes.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

Partner with Sales and Relationship Management during onboarding and serve as a main contact for clients and internal teams during transitions.

  • Coordinate review and negotiation of contracts, investment guidelines, and regulatory documentation, excluding operational setups with custodians.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Investment Teams to resolve guideline issues.
  • Work with the Global Transition Team to communicate operational aspects of transitions.
  • Understand and address clients' reporting and operational requirements, ensuring customization where needed.
  • Maintain clear communication and document all client requirements and procedures in departmental protocols.
  • Update CRM systems with client interactions, manage feedback, and contribute to post-funding reviews.

Support existing clients and onboarding of new accounts, resolving operational issues promptly.

  • Coordinate with clients and internal departments on cash flows, rebalancing, reporting, compliance, and operational details.
  • Manage project changes related to client investment guidelines and communicate updates internally.
  • Prepare for client meetings with status updates and participate in or host meetings as appropriate.

Other responsibilities include collaborating across departments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting sales and client service activities.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; MBA and/or CFA preferred.
  • Fluency in German is essential.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication, project management, analytical, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing demands.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiarity with CRM platforms, and willingness to learn new programs.
