Job summary

MoneyPlus is seeking a Financial Operations Manager to lead client money and transaction processes across DMP and IVA workstreams. You will oversee an 8-person team, ensuring accurate reconciliations, timely processing, and strong control framework compliance.

The role emphasizes evidence-based improvements, risk management, and collaboration with Compliance and Risk teams, offering a pivotal influence on payment operations and governance.

Qualifications

• Regulated client money or safeguarded-funds operations with clear control ownership.
• CASS 11 debt-management client money requirements hands-on knowledge.
• Experience with a CASS audit and CASS 11 resolution pack.
• Strong experience in reconciliations, books & records, payment controls and incident management.
• Evidence designing and improving risk and control frameworks using root cause analysis.
• People leadership in high-volume, time-critical environments.
• Strong Excel and data-analysis capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, accurate and timely client money operations across DMP and IVA activity.
• Maintain robust reconciliations, books & records, segregation of duties, approval controls and evidence that controls are completed and signed off.
• Investigate breaks, shortfalls, excesses, suspense and aged items with timely escalation.
• Own the operational lifecycle for client money incidents and breaches, incl. root cause analysis and remediation.
• Maintain CASS 11 operational evidence and support the annual client assets audit.
• Produce MI and risk indicators for senior stakeholders highlighting trends and weaknesses.
• Lead process, technology and automation improvements to boost accuracy and resilience.
• Coach and develop an 8 FTE Financial Operations team.
