Talent Acquisition Manager | SHORTS Chartered Accountants
The Role
Working within a chartered accountancy practice, you will report to the Client FC/Client FD. Your responsibilities include preparing management accounts for clients with complex reporting needs, handling VAT returns, and year-end accounts. You will also participate in software projects such as conversions to Xero, providing training/support, and assisting with other accounting software processes.
Key Responsibilities
Client
- Manage clients with complex reporting needs.
- Prepare management accounts and VAT returns, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations to year-end standards.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting models for P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
- Understand and utilize relevant software applications used by clients.
- Provide accurate financial reporting and commentary on variances.
- Participate in software projects, including conversions and training.
Genus
- Maintain standardized departmental processes and procedures.
- Adopt best practices in technology use within the department.
- Attend departmental meetings and contribute.
- Manage a client portfolio, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Delegate tasks and review work of less experienced team members.
- Support and guide junior staff.
- Manage workload proactively, update work progress, and communicate concerns.
- Maintain the work planner with absences and workload clashes.
- Provide feedback within the department.

Experience:
- Experience in Management Accounts preparation
- Proficiency with Xero, Sage, and other accounting software
- Minimum 4 years practice experience
