Position: Group Management Accountant
Location: 17 Europa View, Sheffield Business Park, S9 1HX, minimum 3 days per week in the office.
Contract type: Fixed Term 12 months contract, 40 hours per week
Rate: Competitive

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company as our new Group Management Accountant in Sheffield.

As our Group Management Accountant, you’ll be responsible for delivering a high-quality set of management accounts each period with the support of a competent and experienced team.

While this is a maternity cover FTC role, there is potential for a permanent position due to the ongoing growth of the business and evolution of the finance team.

About the role

As a Group Management Accountant, you’ll ensure that the P&L and Balance Sheet are accurately produced to monitor business performance.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

1. Delivering accurate management accounts each period within the timetable, supported by a team of six Finance Assistants.
2. Preparing monthly accruals, prepayments, and month-end reconciliations.
3. Managing bank payments approval and treasury functions, including mandates and account openings.
4. Monitoring debt and interest reconciliations for PE-funded business.
5. Maintaining accurate cash flow information.
6. Monitoring and reporting on CAPEX spend.
7. Ensuring fully reconciled and controlled balance sheets.
8. Supporting Group Financial Reporting Manager to ensure strong financial compliance and governance.
9. Providing financial analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
10. Performing ad-hoc finance tasks with support from the team.
