Morgan McKinley (South West) is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a friendly payroll team. You will manage a portfolio of client payrolls, ensure accuracy and on-time processing, and act as the main contact for your assigned clients.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and practical experience of UK payroll legislation.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients or multiple payrolls.
• Proven track record of delivering excellent client service.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
• Confident written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with a wide range of clients.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Processing a variety of client payrolls as part of a collaborative payroll team.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for an allocated portfolio of clients.
• Managing client payrolls from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Supporting onboarding of new clients and payrolls, ensuring data is complete and accurate.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency and enhance the client experience.
• Building and maintaining strong, professional client relationships.
• Responding to payroll queries accurately, professionally and within agreed timescales.
• Keeping up to date with changes in payroll legislation and applying these changes.
• Liaising with HMRC regarding employer payments and payroll-related matters.
• Ensuring payroll deadlines are consistently met.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and providing support where required.
