Job summary

Morgan Stanley seeks a Client Facing Manager in Hedge Fund Accounting within Fund Services in Glasgow. You will act as the primary contact for hedge fund clients, manage multiple relationships, and ensure fund setup aligns with governing documents.

You will assist with new client onboarding and accounting conversions, coordinating with offshore teams to resolve breaks. You will review reconciliations, perform year-end signoff, and oversee NAV/valuation reviews before distributions, contributing

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of hedge fund and/or private equity accounting.
• Understanding of GAAP/IFRS reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of products including derivatives, fixed income, options and equities.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.
• Undergraduate degree required.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary point of contact for hedge fund clients and manage ~5 relationships.
• Review fund documents and ensure fund setup aligns with the documents.
• Assist MSFS conversion teams with new client setup and accounting conversion.
• Coordinate with offshore operations and clients to resolve trade and accounting breaks.
• Review position and cash reconciliations between clients and custodians.
• Perform account closing procedures and ensure compliance with accounting procedures and controls.
• Coordinate valuation signoff with accounting colleagues in other global locations.
• Review investor allocations prior to distribution to clients and investors.
• Review and approve portfolio valuations and NAV before distribution.
