Job summary

Morgan Stanley Fund Services in Glasgow seeks a Fund Accountant – Associate to manage end-to-end client accounting for hedge funds and new fund types. You will oversee accounting for P&L, balance sheet, and NAV reporting, while building knowledge of AIFs and investor-level allocations.

The role requires ACCA/CIMA/CA qualification or equivalent experience, strong accuracy, and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Collaboration across regions and ongoing skill development are core to this position.

Qualifications

• Qualified/Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA/CA accountant or qualified by experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High degree of accuracy, ability to multitask.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Ability to think critically, problem solve and identify opportunities for efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end process ownership for client accounting requirements.
• Oversee full P&L and balance sheet and daily NAV reporting.
• Develop knowledge of Alternative Investment Funds and related accounting.
• Collaborate with Asia, Europe, and US daily.
• Calculate daily NAVs and perform P&L analysis and reconciliations.
• Review monthly capital movements and ad hoc corporate actions.
• Review and finalize month-end P&L and balance sheet for client sign-off.
• Produce investor level allocations of income/expenses at valuation points.
