Job summary

Sapiens is revolutionising insurance through AI and advanced software engineering. This role focuses on turning ambiguous customer problems into production AI capability as part of the Value FDE and AI-FDE pairing.

You will ship production-ready capabilities, accompany end-to-end builds, and collaborate closely with domain experts to ensure safety, observability, and customer value across live implementations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering; Python, Java, C++ or TypeScript; APIs and cloud.
• Hands-on LLM or agentic workflows in production (retrieval, evaluation, tool use).
• Engineer-diplomat with customer judgement; willing to travel to client sites.
• Insurance systems: policy administration, claims, billing; or our platforms.
• Data engineering, MLOps or security in regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Ship a working capability against the live backlog in the first week where feasible, then iterate.
• Own the build end to end: model real data and process, design agentic workflows, integrate, evaluate, release.
• Build close to the people who operate the process; no requirements hand-off.
• Meet the Minimum Viable Autonomy bar (evaluation, observability, escalation, controls) before production.
• Reuse and compose existing AIP and agent capabilities; feed proven patterns to the catalogue and R&D.
• Leave the customer able to run, monitor and adjust what has been built.
• Partners one-to-one with the Value FDE. BVDE and PDE are separate roles. Bengaluru engineers back 25 of the 80 pods.
