Job summary

IFS is hiring an experienced Software Engineer to embed with customers on IFS PSO, a scheduling and optimization platform. You will design and ship AI-powered solutions, modeling real-world planning problems and delivering working results directly with customer teams.

The role combines software engineering, optimization, and direct customer engagement, with AI-first workflows and a balance of on-site and remote work to support enterprise-scale deployments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing, building and shipping production AI applications.
• Experience with optimization techniques, constraint programming, and mathematical programming.
• Ability to embed with customers and translate real-world problems into optimized solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to translate real-world scheduling problems into optimization models.
• Configure, extend, and debug the core scheduling engine against live data.
• Build and iterate on new solutions with customer teams under tight deadlines.
• Feed field learnings back to core product and engineering teams to improve the platform.
• Demonstrate strong software engineering skills with a large codebase in C#/.NET.
• Apply optimization techniques and develop algorithms to improve performance.
