Job summary

IFS in London is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to embed with customers on IFS PSO, our enterprise scheduling and optimization platform. The role is hands-on, combining software engineering, applied optimization and direct customer engagement.

This position focuses on modeling real-world planning problems, shipping working solutions with tight deadlines, and working at the intersection of our optimization engine and customer teams.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with hands-on coding experience.
• Experience with optimization methods, constraint programming, or algorithm development.
• Comfortable working directly with customers and explaining trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Translate real-world scheduling problems into optimization models.
• Configure, extend, and debug the core scheduling engine against live customer data.
• Build and iterate on new solutions with customer teams under tight deadlines.
• Feed field learnings back to core product and engineering teams.
