What We're Looking For

We're hiring a Client-Facing Accountant who’s confident, reliable, and thrives on autonomy. You’ll be assigned your own pod of ~130 clients, and you’ll be their go-to — managing accounts, queries, VAT, and tax returns.

This is not an isolated prep-only role. You’ll be reviewing bookkeeping (already done by our internal team), communicating with clients, and taking full ownership from start to finish.

What You’ll Be Doing

Managing a portfolio of 130 small business clients

Reviewing internal bookkeeping and finalising year-end accounts

Preparing and filing VAT returns and CT600s

Preparing SA100s (basic directors and sole traders)

Handling client queries via email/Zoom with clear, friendly communication

Liaising with admin and bookkeepers to chase missing info

Must-Haves

At least 2 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice

Solid understanding of Ltd company accounts, VAT, and SA100s

Experience with QuickBooks

Confident speaking directly with clients

Organised and accountable — no ghosting, no chaos

Comfortable working remotely (we’re mostly virtual)

Nice-to-Haves

AAT/ACCA/ACA part-qualified or qualified

Experience with content creators, online biz, or digital entrepreneurs

Sheffield-based or able to travel occasionally for team meetups (not essential)
