Job summary

Cinque Ports Vets is seeking a proactive Client Care Assistant to join our busy reception team across our Kingsnorth branch and other sites as required. You will welcome clients and pets, manage appointments, take payments and support colleagues in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Full-time, 40 hours per week with a shift pattern including weekends on a 1 in 3 rota; travel to other branches may be required. A passion for animals and excellent customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary reception preferred.
• Previous customer-facing experience required.
• Strong administration and organisational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Confident when using the telephone.
• Passion and love for animals.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and their pets in a warm, professional manner.
• Managing the diary; booking in appointments and surgical procedures.
• Answering a range of client questions via email and telephone.
• Pro‑active communication between clients and colleagues to ensure the day runs smoothly.
• Administration duties such as scanning paperwork and filling in forms.
• Processing prescription requests.
• Taking payments.
• Promoting offers and services.
• Ensuring reception is clean and well‑stocked.

Job Title: Client Care Assistant

Location: Cinque Ports Vets, Kingsnorth branch, with travel to other branches as required. Access to your own transport is therefore desirable.

Hours

40 hours per week

Shift pattern

Mon: 12:00‑19:30, Tue: 12:00‑19.30, Wed: 11:30‑19.30, Thu: 9:30‑18:00, Fri: 8:30‑17.00. Plus 1:3 Sat: 8:30‑16:30

About the role

Cinque Ports Vets are looking for a pro‑active, empathetic person to join their fantastic Client Care team! We are busy and your role will be varied. We’re looking for someone who can multitask, loves a challenge and working at a fast pace, takes pride in their work; knowing you have made a difference to someone's day gives fantastic job satisfaction. The duties will involve, but are not limited to:

• Welcoming clients and their pets in a warm, professional manner.
