The main responsibility of a Clerk of Works will be to undertake regular inspections of construction work, such as residential developments, to monitor progress and quality, verifying compliance with contractual drawings.
Projects will largely be new build and refurbishment projects with a strong emphasis on the residential sector.
The business operates nationwide but is specifically looking to hire a Clerk of Works to manage sites around Bedford, Bedfordshire.
The role is offered on a permanent PAYE basis only. A driving license is essential.
Clerk of Works ICWIC accreditation is highly desirable. A formal qualification in construction, engineering, or project management is advantageous.
The successful candidate will join an established and growing cost consultancy and project management practice with offices in Leicestershire and Nottingham. They operate across Bedfordshire, Leicestershire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, and Kent, with a strong pipeline of social housing, student accommodation, healthcare, and other projects.
