Job Description

Projects Delivery Unit is seeking an experienced and energetic Clerk of Works to support the Council’s development portfolio. The successful applicant will be based in Perceval House and work across the borough of Ealing, requiring a high degree of self-motivation and attention to detail.

This is a full-time, permanent, primarily field-based role, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

Main Responsibilities

1. Carry out inspections, checks, and supervisory duties for new build and refurbishment projects on local authority buildings.
2. Provide timely reports, advice, and maintain accurate records to address building defects across multiple projects.
3. Act as an ambassador for the Council’s Economy and Sustainability directorate, promoting best practices.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree qualified or equivalent through experience.
• MICWCI status from the Institute of Clerk Of Works and Construction Inspectorate or equivalent.
• Significant experience post-MICWCI qualification.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptability and flexibility to handle diverse tasks across various projects.
• Experience with medium and major construction projects of various types.
• Knowledge of current Building Regulations and construction practices.
