Heriot-Watt University is recruiting a Cleaning Supervisor for the Scottish Borders campus to lead the in-house cleaning team and ensure high standards of cleanliness across student accommodation, public areas and offices.
The role involves day-to-day supervision, planning of daily work schedules, stock management and quality control, with a full-time pattern including weekends and statutory days. A proactive, customer-focused approach is essential.

This role is based within Hospitality Services, which is responsible for the delivery of all aspects of cleaning the internal public areas and spaces across the Scottish Borders Campus (Jean Muir Student Village and The High Mill) The High Mill spans four floors while the accommodation comprises 218 rooms across three blocks.
Our Scottish Borders campus is located approximately 40 miles from the main Edinburgh Campus, the team is very much an essential and intrinsic part of the Estates and Facilities Directorate
As a significant contributor to the University’s operations, Hospitality Services accounts for nearly 10% of the workforce, with Residential and Cleaning Services representing almost half of that community.
To ensure an effective and efficient operation of cleaning services within the Heriot Watt University Scottish Borders campus. Toparticipatein theday-to-dayprogrammes of cleaning work within theallocatedcleaning zones of the University to ensure that the facilities aremaintainedin a clean and hygienic condition.
To actively contribute to the successful delivery of excellent service to all students,staffand visitors across the universityby keeping the student accommodation, public areas, offices, meetingrooms, teaching and work spaces clean and tidy and fit for use.
