Job summary

Heriot-Watt University on the Scottish Borders campus seeks a Cleaning Supervisor to lead the cleaning teams across student accommodation and public areas. You will manage daily schedules, supervise staff, and ensure hygienic, well-presented facilities in line with service levels.

The role requires experience in a similar environment and hospitality qualifications, with strong numeracy and IT skills, plus a proactive customer-service approach. Flexible weekend coverage is required.

Responsibilities

• Day to day responsibility for all cleaners, directing, supervising, training and motivating.
• Planning and implementing daily work schedules and staffing levels.
• Ensure buildings, residences and offices meet customer expectations and service levels.
• Collaborate with supervisors to forward-plan staff and schedules year-round.
• Be responsible for quality control inspections, audits and stock levels.
