Job summary

Thorn Baker Facilities Management is hiring a Cleaning Supervisor for a single-site operation near Leeds. You will lead a small team of four cleaners, maintain high cleanliness standards, and work closely with the client to meet expectations on a consistent 4-on-4-off pattern.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Cleaning Supervisor or Team Leader.
• Experience managing or supervising cleaning teams.
• Strong people‑management and leadership skills.
• High standards with excellent attention to detail.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive, hands‑on approach.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and cleaning best practices.
• The confidence to take ownership of a site and deal with day‑to‑day operational issues.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the daily cleaning operation across the site
• Leading, motivating and supporting a team of 4 cleaners
• Ensuring all areas are maintained to a consistently high standard
• Carrying out regular quality checks, inspections and audits
• Managing rotas, holidays and staff cover
• Training new starters and supporting team development
• Monitoring cleaning standards and addressing any issues quickly
• Managing stock levels and ordering cleaning consumables
• Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed
• Building a positive relationship with the client and responding to operational requirements
• Taking ownership of the overall presentation and cleaning standards across the site

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to oversee the cleaning operation at a single site just outside Leeds.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor or Team Leader who wants to step into a role with real responsibility, a stable working pattern and no travelling between multiple contracts.

You’ll be responsible for leading a small, established team of four cleaners, maintaining high standards and working closely with the client to ensure the site consistently meets expectations.

Your Role

As Cleaning Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of the cleaning operation, ensuring your team has everything they need to deliver consistently high standards.
