Job summary

Thorn Baker Group is seeking an experienced Mobile Cleaning Supervisor to oversee cleaning across around 60 sites in Reading and surrounding areas. You will manage cleaning teams on the road, conduct site visits and maintain high standards for clients.

You will lead recruitment, inductions and training, ensure compliance, and support site openings while travelling across the area with a company vehicle and full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning supervision or facilities management.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing cleaning operations across ~60 sites and maintaining standards.
• Carry out regular site visits and inspections.
• Ensure cleaning standards are consistently achieved for clients.
• Manage staff performance, attendance and conduct.
• Support recruitment, induction and training of cleaning staff.
• Arrange holiday and sickness cover when required.
• Monitor equipment, materials and stock levels.
• Build positive relationships with clients and site contacts.
• Identify and resolve operational issues.
• Complete audits, reports and compliance checks.
• Support new site openings and ongoing improvements.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Mobile Cleaning Supervisor to join our clients growing team, covering approximately 60 sites across Reading and the surrounding area.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being out on the road, managing people, maintaining high cleaning standards and building strong relationships with site teams and clients.

The Role

As Mobile Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing cleaning operations across a large portfolio of sites that range from Offices to gyms to stores. You will work closely with cleaning teams and site contacts to ensure standards are consistently maintained and any issues are dealt with quickly and professionally.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and supporting cleaning teams across approximately 60 sites
• Carrying out regular site visits and cleaning inspections
• Ensuring company and client cleaning standards are consistently achieved
• Managing staff performance, attendance and conduct
• Supporting recruitment, induction and training of cleaning staff
• Arranging holiday and sickness cover where required
• Monitoring cleaning equipment, materials and stock levels
• Building positive relationships with clients and site contacts
• Identifying and resolving operational issues
• Completing regular audits, reports and compliance checks

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident managing people across multiple locations.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in cleaning supervision, facilities management, housekeeping or a similar operational role
• Experience managing teams across multiple sites is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A professional and confident approach when dealing with clients
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Good attention to detail and high standards
• A full UK driving licence
• Flexibility to travel throughout the area
