Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a part-time Cleaner for Hermitage Academy, Cardross Road, Helensburgh. The role provides 15 hours per week at £12.71 per hour, with a permanent contract and clear SLAs for daily and periodic cleaning.

You will deliver cleaning services to a high standard, Training provided, and you’ll work as part of a team or on your own initiative while following Mitie safety, quality and safeguarding policies. Reliability and a professional attitude are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the cleaning to a Mitie contractual SLA and high standards.
• Undertake all training required to deliver the cleaning role.
• Work in a team and, where appropriate, use your own initiative.
• Adhere to Mitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain designated areas to the agreed level of cleanliness per schedule.
• Ensure service is delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

• Maintain security, including locking doors and handling lost property.

Job Information

Deliver excellent service standards for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning for a Mitie customer. Ensure the contract service delivery is of a high standard, meeting allSLAagreements whilst adhering to the cleaning schedules.

Main Duties

• Undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role.
• Work within a team and under their own initiative.
• Adhere to allMitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.

• Maintain the designated area to an agreed level of cleanliness in line with the Contract and relevantSLAs, carrying out all daily weekly and periodic tasks as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
• Ensure that the service is delivered effectively and efficiently to a high standard.
• Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is a safe working order.
• Report any maintenance requirements identified during cleaning tasks.
• Always maintain security – locking doors, following lost property procedures etc.

• Have a full knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, including the agreed work specification and time allocated to facilities.
• Have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used byMitie.
• Set a good example in terms of dress, behaviour, punctuality, and attendance.
• Ensure all Safeguarding Policies are always adhered to and raise any concerns in line with the Mitie policy.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Ensure contractors and external visitors comply with security and health and safety while on school premises.
• Build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
• To undertake any other related duties which are within the job holder's capability, according to the needs of the business.
