Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, Medirest division, is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to ensure smooth healthcare operations on a full-time basis (37.5 hours weekly). The role involves leading frontline teams, managing stock, rotas, and daily duties while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in NHS trusts and hospitals.

The ideal candidate will have prior supervision experience, strong communication skills, and a can-do attitude to support patient and staff needs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Check and store deliveries promptly and correctly.
• Supervise a team and foster a welcoming, supportive environment.
• Act as a responsible key holder.
• Assist with weekly bookwork and other duties as needed.
• Create weekly rotas following manager guidelines.
• Place orders to maintain stock levels and delegate tasks.
• Ensure compliance with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Cleaning Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Healthcare on a full time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities may include:

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported
• Being a responsible key holder
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

Our ideal Cleaning Supervisor will:

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
• Good communication skills with a focus on great Customer Service
• Team player and can-do attitude
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
