Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, Medirest, is seeking a dedicated Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of healthcare operations on a part-time basis (25 hours per week) at Sutton in Ashfield. You will oversee deliveries, rota planning, stock control and a welcoming team environment.

The ideal candidate will have prior frontline supervision experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to stay composed under pressure while upholding food safety and health-and-safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams in a similar environment.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Team player with a can-do attitude and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team and create a positive, supportive environment.
• Check and store deliveries promptly and correctly.
• Produce weekly rotas following manager guidance.
• Assist with weekly bookwork and stock orders.
• Ensure food handling, hygiene and health & safety standards.

Your key responsibilities may include:

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported
• Being a responsible key holder
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

Our ideal Supervisor will:

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
• Good communication skills with a focus on great Customer Service
• Team player and can-do attitude
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
