Westbourne Academy is seeking a Cleaning Operative to maintain the cleanliness and sanitisation of the building in line with Health & Safety requirements. The role is term-time only (41 weeks per year) at 23.5 hours weekly, on NJC Scale Point 3 (£14,710 actual per annum).

You will work as part of a supportive team, applying basic cleaning methods and operating equipment, with opportunities for development within the Academy Transformation Trust.

• Previous experience in a similar environment with basic cleaning methods.

About you:-

We are looking for an individual to undertake the day-to-day cleaning and sanitisation of the building and facilities, ensuring Health & Safety compliance at all times. The successful candidate will join an academy which is dynamic and inspiring, creating a culture of outstanding success amongst our students. To succeed, you will have previous experience in a similar environment with basic cleaning methods and the use of equipment. You will have a good standard of literacy and numeracy and the ability to work on your own initiative and within a team. We are keen to secure a positive Cleaning Operative who can make a telling contribution to our team. The department is part of a well led, mutually supportive cleaning team and the appointed candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and will be supported by a Catering Supervisor.
