Job summary

ABM UK in Bracknell is hiring a facilities cleaner to join our on-site team at The Lexicon. You will follow ABM’s standards, wear a smart uniform, and perform cleaning duties across shifts (4 on, 4 off) totaling 40 hours per week.

You must follow BICSc standards, deliver quality work, and maintain health and safety procedures. The role involves on-site public interaction, supporting colleagues, and continually seeking ways to improve working practices.

Qualifications

• Wear smart uniform and presentable at all times.
• Adhere to BICSc standards for cleaning quality.
• Follow ABM Health & Safety procedures and take responsibility for safety of self and others.
• Interact with the public on site and know when to provide assistance or escalate.

Responsibilities

• Wear a clean, smart appearance and company uniform at all times to uphold ABM’s reputation for professionalism and quality.
• Ensure all cleaning duties are carried out strictly in accordance with BICSc standards, delivering quality work that meets or exceeds client expectations.
• Adhere to ABM’s Health and Safety procedures and demonstrate personal responsibility for health and safety of self and others.
• Interact with the public on site and recognize situations where assistance or value-added support is appropriate (e.g., lost children, public distress, evacuations).
• Carry out cleaning duties as directed by the team leader and propose improvements to working practices for continuous improvement.
• Work proactively, supporting and assisting colleagues whenever possible.
• Undertake ad hoc duties as directed or operationally required.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Provide excellent customer care.
• Maintain a smart, clean appearance.
• Be wholly committed to quality.
