PDA Search & Selection is seeking a Cleaning Operations Manager to oversee multi-site cleaning across retail locations for a major supermarket client. You will lead site managers, ensure high-quality service, audit performance, manage budgets and maintain strong client relationships.

You will schedule shifts, deliver training, drive service excellence, and support sales through proactive, hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong multi-site cleaning management experience, preferably within supermarket retail.
• Auditing, client relationship management, budgeting and area manager oversight.
• Recruitment, training and handling HR/disciplinary issues.
• Proactive; able to meet deadlines and communicate with stakeholders clearly.

Job Title: Cleaning Operations Manager

Location: Covering sites across South West England/ South Wales

Salary: £45,000.00 basic salary + up to £5,000 bonus

Benefits: Company Car + Fuel Card (personal use), pension

Full time and permanent position | 40 hours per week | Monday - Friday

Our client are a multi-service provider operating in the soft UK Facilities Management sector. They offer various services including cleaning, security, and catering. With over 50 years of experience in the cleaning and support services industry, they are well established within their field. Their integrated service offerings include customer service, technology, product development, personnel with industry expertise, and solutions designed to be cost-effective and sustainable.

Due to ongoing growth, the company seeks to hire a Cleaning Operations Manager to oversee cleaning operations across retail stores for a major supermarket client.

The Operations Manager reports to the Operations Director and is responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning services that meet client expectations and contractual specifications. They must clearly communicate requirements to their team, motivate staff, schedule work, provide training and coaching, and ensure company standards are consistently met. Additionally, they support sales through strong service delivery.

Candidates background & experience

• Strong multi-site cleaning management experience, preferably within supermarket retail.
• Strong experience with auditing, client relationship management, managing budgets, managing area cleaning managers, stock/ inventory control, recruitment, training, Hr/ Disciplinary issues,
• Candidates should be proactive, meet deadlines, liaise with people at all levels, work accurately and respect confidentiality of the organisation and the client.
• Experience in cleaning operations in retail stores
• Experienced in responsive, hands-on customer service across flexible hours.
• Ensures consistent team performance and meets key requirements through strong organisational skills.
• Proven leadership in fast-paced service environments.
• Skilled negotiator with clients and colleagues.
• Effective communicator with stakeholders.
• Adaptable to change and varied work settings.
• Independent problem solver.
• IT proficient.
• Driving licence for a manual car, held for at least one year and no more than 6 points on the licence.
