Job summary

PDA Search & Selection is seeking an Area Cleaning Manager to oversee cleaning operations across circa 40 retail sites in Herefordshire and surrounding areas. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, typically Monday to Saturday, with hours 7:00am–4:00pm.

You will manage mobile cleaning teams, ensure KPI delivery, recruit and train staff, control costs within budget and uphold health & safety standards, while developing strong client relationships and conducting regular audits.

Qualifications

• Multi-site Cleaning management experience.

• Proficient in IT: Excel, Word and Email.

Responsibilities

• Manage cleaning across ~45 sites on a mobile basis.
• Deliver KPI and weekly checks with corrective actions as needed.
• Recruit and train Cleaning staff in line with processes.
• Manage area and site costs within budget; ensure health & safety.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
• Carry out weekly and monthly cleaning audits.
• Handle HR issues as required.

Position: Area Cleaning Manager

Salary: £30,000.00 per annum

Included: Company car & Fuel Card

Location: Covering sites across Herefordshire & surrounding areas

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shifts: Monday - Saturday | Working between the hours of 7.00am - 4.00pm

Our client are looking to recruit an Area Cleaning Manager to be responsible for cleaning operations of circa 40 retail sites.

Job Purpose:

• The Area Cleaning Manager will be responsible for the management of cleaning in the provision of cleaning circa 45 sites on a mobile basis.
• The Area Cleaning Manager will ensure that KPI's and Weekly Checks are delivered to defined standards and corrective action is taken as required.
• To recruit and effectively train all Cleaning staff in the Area to ensure that other colleagues are recruited and trained in line with the recruitment process.
• To manage the area and site costs within budget and ensure the requirements of Health & Safety are followed.
• Develop / maintain strong relationships with clients through regular contact
• Carry out weekly and monthly cleaning audits
• Manage any HR issues

The role is full time, permanent and 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7, predominantly working Monday to Friday, with weekends off.

Candidates need to be used to working in a fast-paced environment and for a demanding client and need to be prepared to be hands-on where required.

Candidates must have a full and valid driving licence.
