South West Norse, Exeter County Hall, is seeking an Area Cleaning Supervisor for a part-time role (30 hours/week, Mon–Fri, 6 hours/day). The position pays £16.18 per hour, with a pro rata salary around £33,648.45 based on a 40-hour week.

You will support the Area Manager, recruit and develop staff, and ensure site cleanliness and safety standards. The role involves managing cleaning contracts, engaging with client partners, and maintaining service levels.

Cleaning Area Supervisor required in East Devon

£16.18 /hour, equivalent to £33,648.45 pro rata (based on a 40 hour working week)

Part Time, 30 hours per week

Monday to Friday, 6 hours per day

South West Norse work in collaboration with Devon County Council, partnering with a number of public and private sector clients across the South West to deliver a portfolio of commercial services. We are currently looking to recruit an Area Cleaning Supervisor to operate at Exeter County Hall as part of our commercial cleaning team.

Role Duties:

You will be supported by the Area Manager, and play an active role in the recruitment and development of our staff across a number of sites. Further duties include:

• Supporting the management of our local cleaning contracts.
• Providing support to on-site team with the review of operational performance against the expected hygiene levels.
• Undertake cleaning duties.
• Engage with our client partners to develop our relationships.
• Ensuring your understand the required service level and can provide solutions if not being delivered.

Your Experience:

Experience within a commercial cleaning environment, ideally both from a hands-on and supervisory perspective.

Proven ability to manage, lead and/or supervise staff across a number of sites.

Excellent communication skills, confident engaging with colleagues and clients.

Good eye for detail, capable of upholding and improving contractual standards.

Knowledge of health and safety in a cleaning environment.
