Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaning and Waste Operative to join our night shift in a Swindon warehouse. You will perform general cleaning, tidying, and waste management across washrooms and canteens, using appropriate cleaning equipment and products. Training provided; Basic Disclosure may be required.

This permanent role offers a 7pm–7am shift, 4 on/off, 11 hours per day, and benefits including pension contributions, cycle to work, and access to Mitie Stars recognition.

Qualifications

• No prior cleaning experience required.
• Willing to undergo Basic Disclosure Check.
• Able to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy all warehouse areas, including washrooms and canteens.
• Operate cleaning equipment and maintain clean, safe conditions.
• Manage waste disposal and respond to client call-outs.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies.

Job description

Salary: £13.88/ hour

Hours: 11 hours/ day

Shift Pattern: 7 pm to 7 am, 4 on / 4 off

Contract: Permanent

In your new role as a Cleaning and Waste Operative, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team. Your duties will include general cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse including washrooms and canteens. You'll use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning products. You will ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies (all training will be provided). You will manage waste disposal.
