Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaning and Waste Operative to join our warehouse cleaning team. You will perform general cleaning, tidying, and waste disposal, using appropriate equipment and products, and ensure all gear is clean and safe.

The role requires flexibility for call-outs and adherence to Health & Safety regulations; full training is provided. No prior experience is required; a Basic Disclosure Check may be needed, and a drug/alcohol screening test could be required.

• Use cleaning equipment, materials and products as required.
• React to client call-outs and comply with Health & Safety legislation.

Job description

Salary: £13.88 / hour

Hours: 12 hours/ day or 38.5 hours/ week

Shift Pattern: 7 pm to 7 am, 4 on / 4 off

Contract: Fixed Term

In your new role as a Cleaning and Waste Operative, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team. Your duties will include general cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse including washrooms and canteens. You'll use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning products. You will ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies (all training will be provided). You will manage waste disposal.
