Job summary

Mitie Group plc is seeking a Cleaning and Waste Operative to join our warehouse cleaning and waste team in Peterborough. You will perform general cleaning, tidying of all warehouse areas, and manage waste disposal.

You will use cleaning equipment and products, maintain equipment, and respond to client call-outs while following Health & Safety policies. Full training is provided, and a Basic Disclosure Check may be required.

Qualifications

• No experience required; full training will be provided.
• A Basic Disclosure Check may be required and a drug/alcohol screening test may be undertaken.

Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy all warehouse areas including washrooms and canteens.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials and products; keep equipment clean and in safe working order.
• React quickly to client call-outs and comply with Health & Safety legislation and policies.
• Manage waste disposal as part of the cleaning and waste team.

Job description

Salary: £13.88 / hour

Hours: 12 hours/ day

Shift Pattern: 7 pm to 7 am, 4 on / 4 off

Contract: Permanent

In your new role as a Cleaning and Waste Operative, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team. Your duties will include general cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse including washrooms and canteens. You'll use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning products. You will ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies (all training will be provided). You will manage waste disposal.
