Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaning and Waste Operative to join our warehouse cleaning team. You will perform cleaning duties across all warehouse areas, including washrooms and canteens, using the appropriate equipment and products and maintaining safe, clean, and orderly spaces.

You will also handle waste disposal and respond to client call-outs while complying with Health & Safety policies. Full training is provided and a Basic Disclosure Check may be required.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training provided.
• Willing to undergo Basic Disclosure Check.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy all areas within the warehouse, including washrooms and canteens.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment and products and keep equipment clean and safe.
• React to client call-outs and comply with Health & Safety policies.
• Manage waste disposal in line with environmental guidelines.

Job description

Salary: £14.63 / hour

Hours: 7.5 hours/ day or 35 hours/ week

Shift Pattern: 10:00 pm to 06:00 am, 4 on / 2 off

Contract: Fixed Term

In your new role as a Cleaning and Waste Operative, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team. Your duties will include general cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse including washrooms and canteens. You'll use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning products. You will ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies (all training will be provided). You will manage waste disposal.
