Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaning and Waste Operative in Hinckley to maintain cleanliness across a warehouse environment, including washrooms and canteens, and to manage waste disposal. You will work with cleaning equipment and products, keeping everything in good condition and safe.

No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided. A Basic Disclosure Check and possibly drug/alcohol screening may be required, with full support from Mitie throughout the process.

• Clean and tidy all warehouse areas including washrooms and canteens.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials and products and keep equipment clean and safe.
• Manage waste disposal and respond to client call-outs while complying with Health & Safety policies.

Job description

Salary: £13.38 / hour

Hours: 11 hours/ day

Shift Pattern: 7 am to 7 pm, 4 on / 4 off

Contract: Permanent

In your new role as a Cleaning and Waste Operative, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team. Your duties will include general cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse including washrooms and canteens. You'll use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning products. You will ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies (all training will be provided). You will manage waste disposal.
