Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Account Manager to oversee 14 sites across Colchester, Harwich and Ipswich within the East Anglia Division. The role involves leading a team of cleaning operatives, developing client relationships, and driving growth with a strong focus on service excellence across schools and offices.

Salary £33,500 per annum plus a company car. Monday to Friday with flexibility to work until 7:00pm; occasional travel to multiple sites is required.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and motivational abilities.
• Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety systems in the cleaning industry.
• Experience with commercial clients would be highly desirable.
• Full driving license and ability to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong client relationships with high satisfaction.
• Provide and maintain the quality of service delivery.
• Manage, recruit, and coach local service teams.
• Carry out ad-hoc projects, reports, audits to support the Operations Manager.
• Hold regular contract and specification review meetings with customers.
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures and legislation are adhered to.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost savings and account growth.

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our thriving East Anglia Division, overseeing 14 sites across a diverse portfolio of primary schools, secondary schools, and office locations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business, with the chance to develop existing client relationships and contribute to continued growth and success.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will lead and support a team of cleaning operatives, ensuring exceptional service delivery and high operational standards across all sites. No two days are the same, and your leadership, organisational, and people management skills will play a key role in driving performance, building strong customer relationships, and creating a positive working environment for your team.

As an Account Manager, you will:

• Maintaining strong client relationships with high levels of satisfaction
• Providing and maintaining the quality of service delivery
• Managing, recruiting, and coaching local service teams
• Carrying out ad-hoc and regular activities such as projects, reports, audits as required by and to support the Operations Manager.
• Hold regular contract and specification review meetings with customers
• Be responsible for ensuring Health & Safety procedures and legislation is adhered to
• Looking for opportunities for continuous improvement, cost savings and account growth

As an Account Manager, you will have:

• Strong leadership and motivational abilities, with the capacity to plan ahead, work under pressure, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis
• A working knowledge of Health and Safety systems within the cleaning industry, ensuring safety for all individuals involved.
• Previous experience working with commercial clients would be highly desirable, along with a flexible approach to meeting diverse client needs.
• A full driving license and the ability to travel to various sites as required.
